Public service loan forgiveness (PSLF)

Introduction

As a public employee with the County of Ventura, you may be eligible for student loan debt relief with the U.S. Department of Education’s Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. PSLF is a federal program created for those in public service jobs, offering the opportunity to have your federal loan balances forgiven after 10 years and 120 qualifying payments. Tax free!

For a $50 annual fee, Summer’s experts can help County of Ventura employees check eligibility, navigate requirements, compare options, sign, and submit the necessary documentation, making it easy to tackle the PSLF process and wipe out student debt, even if previously denied.
